These Director Preview Terms (“Preview Terms”) govern your use of Director, an experimental AI assistant that edits your video project from a chat. They add to, and form part of, your agreement under the Shotstack Terms of Service (“Main Terms”). Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Main Terms.
These Preview Terms apply when you enable and use Director Preview. They prevail over the Main Terms only where they directly conflict, and only in relation to Director. In all other respects the Main Terms continue to apply in full.
Director is an early research preview. It is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, with no service-level commitment. It is still being developed, so it may produce inaccurate, incomplete or unexpected results, and it may change, be limited, break, or be withdrawn at any time without notice. You are responsible for reviewing what Director produces before relying on it.
By enabling Director Preview you agree that Shotstack may use your prompts, the project content you share with Director, and your interactions with it to operate, evaluate and improve the feature, and to train and improve the models that power it.
There is currently no separate opt-out of this data use while you use the preview. If you would prefer your content not be used this way, you can turn Director off at any time, after which content from new sessions will no longer be used.
Director does not change who owns your content. You keep the same ownership of the inputs you provide and the outputs you receive as you have under the Main Terms, and Shotstack claims no new ownership over them.
Feedback is welcome but optional. If you send us feedback or suggestions about Director, we may use them freely to improve our products, on the terms of the feedback or suggestions provision of the Main Terms.
Director Preview is used at your own risk. Our liability in connection with the preview is limited as set out in the Main Terms.
We may update these Preview Terms from time to time. If you keep using Director after an update takes effect, you accept the updated Preview Terms.
