Akamai NetStorage Integration
Send rendered videos and images to your Akamai NetStorage and serve them from Akamai's edge. Available on Enterprise.
How it works
Step 1
Prepare an upload account
Create a storage group with an upload account that has the NetStorage HTTP CMS API access method turned on. Note your HTTP hostname and CP code.
Step 2
Add credentials in your dashboard
Once the integration is on for your account, open Integrations, choose Akamai NetStorage and enter your credentials.
Step 3
Add the destination
Set the
akamai-netstoragedestination in the render output, or at the root of an ingest request, with your host and CP code.
One parameter in your render
Add destinations to the output of a render. When the video is ready, Shotstack sends it to the directory and filename you set.
{
"output": {
"format": "mp4",
"destinations": [{
"provider": "akamai-netstorage",
"options": {
"host": "example-nsu.akamaihd.net",
"cpCode": "123456",
"path": "videos",
"filename": "my-video"
}
}]
}
}What you can do with Akamai NetStorage
Your own directory and filename
Set
pathandfilenameto choose where each file lands in your upload directory.Ingested files too
Source files and renditions from the Ingest API use the same destination.
Only Akamai
Add the Shotstack destination with
"exclude": trueand the file goes to NetStorage without being hosted by Shotstack.
