Make Video Automation

Render videos from your Make scenarios, without writing code.

How it works

  • Step 1

    Connect the Shotstack app

Add a Shotstack module to a scenario and connect it with an API key from your Shotstack dashboard.

  • Step 2

Map your data to the template

Start from new data, such as a spreadsheet row, a form response or a CRM record, and map each field to a merge field in your saved template.

  • Step 3

    Send the video on

When the render is ready, send the file to storage, a social channel or an email in the next module.

What you can do with Make

  • A video for every new row

Start a scenario from a new spreadsheet row and render your template with that row's values.

  • Form responses and CRM records

Any app Make connects can start a render, such as a form response or a new CRM record.

  • Send the file on

Pass the finished video to the next module: storage, a social channel or an email.

Questions

Where do I find the Shotstack app?
Search for Shotstack when you add a module in Make, or open Shotstack on Make.
Why does my video show placeholders like {{ADDRESS}}?
Map every merge field on each render. The fields you send replace the template's saved values, so a field you leave out renders as its raw placeholder.
How do I make the template?
Save a video as a template with merge fields. You can design it in Studio, ask an AI agent connected to the Shotstack MCP server, or send it with the API.
